To reach Churchill Downs, the Highlands, Old Louisville, or distilleries on the Bourbon Trail, you'll need a car or rideshare. TARC bus service exists but is slow and visitor-unfriendly. Uber and Lyft operate everywhere with reasonable prices.
Walkability: Downtown + Whiskey Row + NuLu is genuinely walkable (about 2 miles end-to-end with most attractions on Main Street and Market Street).
